Yahoo buys Photo Company Xoopit

Yahoo Inc said on Wednesday it has bought Xoopit, a privately-held aggregation that provides technology to adapt photograph collections in Yahoo's e-mail system.

Xoopit's tech support helps in the sending and administration of photos through e-mail and enables users adapt their inboxes as photo indexes, Bryan Lamkin, Yahoo's chief carnality admiral for applications, wrote on its official blog.

While Yahoo did not acknowledge the amount tag, tech blog All Things Digital said the accord was account $20 million, citation sources.

Yahoo's accord with Xoopit began in December with the barrage of the "My Photos" appliance in Yahoo! Mail.

On Tuesday, Yahoo said its acquirement from seek commercial fell 15 percent from the year-ago quarter.
