In Windows Operating System the files are placed in the free space of the hard drive. The files are stored not in one physical place. As a result a file can be stored in a fragmented way. If the analyze program result suggest that your hard drive needs defragmentation you can go ahead with it. Click on the button Defragment. Now you will have to give time to run the program. The program will take some time. The time can vary from 30 minutes to several hours depending on the issues like the speed of the processor, the memory, the fragmentation process etc. When the process complete, you will need to close the program.
